Your Success Is Our Success

There is no greater joy in dentistry then seeing a happy patient walkout the door with a smile they love to show off. Having missing teeth, or teeth that are broken or cracked can be devastating. Maybe you haven’t had time; the money or you didn’t feel it was important to fix your smile. However, with the opportunities that dentistry has in store for you these days, we highly recommend you take advantage because your success is our success.

We do not believe in having patients walk out our doors without loving their smile. And while we may not get 100% of the results you want in one visit, we’ll take the time to help you have a smile of a lifetime.  No one should have to suffer with dental pain, old dentures, or cracked teeth, when dental care has upgraded and can provide you a stable and beautiful smile.

The health of your smile is not just determined by the look of your teeth, but it is also determined by the overall health. Starting with a consultation can help you and the team at Dr. Strutz’s office comes up with a plan to enhance your smile and keep it healthy for a lifetime.

Are Your Sensitive Teeth Getting In Your Way?

Sensitivity in teeth can be a real problem when you sit down and are trying to enjoy your bowl of ice cream or when you just want to enjoy that cup of hot tea. Are your sensitive teeth getting you down and causing you problems when you are out with friends? Here are 4 things you can do in order to decrease sensitivity.

1.     Don’t brush too hard. You may be brushing off enamel that is critical to protect the teeth. The enamel is the outer covering of your tooth and the thinner it becomes the more sensitive your teeth will be. When the tooth enamel is worn down, it causes nerve endings to be exposed that cause more problems.

2.     Avoid acidic foods. This also causes wearing on the tooth enamel and increases your risk of sensitivity.

3.     Avoid grinding your teeth. If you find that you are grinding your teeth, get a fitted mouth guard that can support your teeth so you are not grinding tooth on tooth impacting the tooth enamel.

4.     Take a break or avoid bleaching your teeth. While everyone wants a healthy, white smile, bleaching takes off a layer of enamel in order to remove the stains and show off the healthy white part. This can increase sensitivity over time. However, there may be other solutions that you can use in order to get the smile you are looking for.

Stand Up For Your Smile!

We often take our teeth for granted. They can take a beating every day and yet we don’t always repay them with healthy habits. Most people often go days, weeks or months without thinking about such an important part of your body, your teeth. But your mouth is so critical to the overall health of your body. When you are tired, run down, and ready to call it quits, your teeth can step in by chewing that protein source you need to get you back on track. But how do you repay them? By consuming unhealthy snacks for a quick fix? Or forgetting to brush and floss after you have eaten that treat?

Your smile is such a valuable part of your body and your overall well-being. Your smile is just waiting for you to begin to stand up for it and show it off to all of your friends. There is no need to wait for a tragedy to happen such as unwanted inflammation of the gums, or bleeding when you brush and floss, before you change your dental habits.
