Beautiful Smiles

Have you walked by someone and had them smile at you? Have you wondered how did they get that beautiful smile? Do you find that you are more likely to hide your smile during pictures? Well, no more! We want to help you achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. Our goal at Dr. Strutz's office is to ensure that every patient walks out with a smile they love to show off.

The dental practices of the future are different than those of the past. Here are 4 opportunities you might want more information to improve your smile.

  1. Restorations. This, can help improve the shape and color of your teeth.
  2. Dentures or partial dentures. Depending on the problem you are facing, this might be a great way to ensure your smile lasts a lifetime.
  3. Porcelain Fixed Bridges. When a patient has mismatched enamel color, poor fit around your gum line from a different bridge, or a chipped tooth, this could be the best option for you.
  4. Crowns. Do you have a cracked or broken tooth? Talk to our team about the option of a crown.

Do you suspect that your baby has a tongue-tie, however; you're not sure? A tongue-tie may be getting in the way of you having the best breastfeeding experience with your newborn. Here are five questions to ask yourself that can help you determine if you should schedule a consultation with Dr. Judy Strutz and her team.

  1. Does your baby struggle to latch? They may latch on for a short amount of time and then let go after just a few minutes. A tongue-tie can impact your baby from being able to be in the right position to nurse.
  2. Is your baby gaining the weight they should be? Babies who have a tongue tie may be struggling to latch and therefore are not getting the amount of milk they need to gain the weight that is so critical at this time.
  3. Does your baby seem to want to eat all the time? If this is occurring, it could mean that when they latch, they are not getting the right amount of milk, so then they feel hungry more often.
  4. Do you have extreme nipple pain? A latch that is not correct can begin to cause problems for you as well. While a little bit of pain is normal, excessive pain is not.

Don't Take The Easy Way Out

Your smile matters. Did you know that people, when they go to interview for jobs, are sometimes judged by the health of their smile? When you are in the field of customer service, and you have to smile and share your smile with others, it is critical you have a healthy smile.

Bad-breath, decay, or missing teeth can not only impact your body, your self-esteem but your career prospects as well. Taking the time to visit your cosmetic dentist and map out what you need to have happened for your smile will ensure you have a healthy smile that will last a lifetime.

A cosmetic dental visit can allow you an opportunity to sit down and really map out what is happening with your smile and what you want to have the end result be. While you may go in for a cleaning, and hope for the best, time spent talking about, analyzing, and really learning about what is happening with your smile is the key. You deserve to have a healthy smile that lasts a lifetime, and we can help you get there.

Get The Smile You Want!

Everyone deserves to have a healthy smile that they can share with confidence. While we are covering our smiles up in certain places right now, that is not forever. And you want to be able to enjoy a healthy smile. Did you know, your body responds in various ways when your smile is not healthy?

For example, you may feel tired, sluggish, and feel out of sorts when you are fighting problems of decay. You might also be moody, frustrated, and out of sorts if you have pain. Don't wait for something serious to happen before you get the smile you want. A healthy smile can mean the difference between feeling confident and successful and being disappointed because you didn't get the job you want. While there are all kinds of things that can stand in your way in this life, the health of your smile should not be one of them.

Dr. Judy Strutz and her team love sitting down with patients and deciding on the best course of action. Now is your chance, and it is your turn to have a healthy smile you love. Contact Dr. Judy Strutz and her team to schedule an appointment.

A Tongue Tie

A lip or tongue-tie is not a minor problem. While you may have heard to just let your baby grow out it, it is not a thing. It is important to have a consultation with a dentist to see how great the tie is and proceed accordingly. Not taking care of this can cause a problem for the child for years to come. For example, your child might have a difficult time learning certain speech sounds, reading, or trouble with breastfeeding. While this may seem like a common problem that does not need to be taken care of, however, waiting can cause even more problems.

A simple tongue or lip tie release procedure can ensure your child is not impacted in the long run, and the procedure only takes a few short minutes usually. Mothers who have experienced before and after a lip or tongue tie procedure report success with breastfeeding almost immediately.

Whether your child can stick their tongue out or not is not a definitive indicator of a tongue tie. Taking time to visit Dr. Judy Strutz and her team can help you definitively answer the question and ensure that you and your baby are on a solid path. If you have questions or to schedule a consultation contact, Dr. Judy Strutz and her team.

If Not Now, When?

Your smile is so important for your overall health. You want to be sure you are taking proper care to fix any problems you may be experiencing. If you have a broken or cracked tooth getting this fixed right away is critical to your health. If you do not fix it now, when will it be convenient? We know that there is so much going on in your life. But your dental health matters to us.

The goal of dental care is to prevent problems from arising. If you have a healthy smile, it is free from decay, plaque, and other dental problems. We want to be sure to keep it that way. Having a quick dental check can decrease the risk of further dental problems occurring. This check-up can also help you plan for any work that maybe you need to get done that you have been putting off.

Great oral health habits such as brushing, flossing, eating foods with low carbohydrates, or drinking water after you consume food with a high level of carbohydrates will keep your smile healthy. However, you want to ensure you stop by the dentist for your regular visits.
