COVID-19 Information

We know how important health and safety is. We have been implementing safe standards to care for our patients before the CDC said we needed to. We value our patients, their health, and we know how important it is for you to be able to trust us.

To be sure that patients have the best care, we wipe down our equipment, we have proper safety procedures in place and evaluate those procedures to ensure we are still in compliance. Our goal is that each time you step into our office, you can feel confident that our staff is here to ensure you have not only a beautiful smile but that you know how important cleanings, safety, and health means to use.

While we know we are living in uncertain times and we have a long way to go. We are still here for you and are not going anywhere. Our goal during this time is for you to know that if you have a dental emergency, were in the middle of treatment or have a concern, you can still get in touch with our office in order to figure out the best course of action.

For more information, contact our office and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Update!

Yesterday my team and I made the extremely difficult situation to close the office in response to the recommendations of the American Dental Association to play our part in mitigating and containing COVID-19 Virus. While this was not an easy decision we want to be sure we are doing our part to keep our patients and our staff healthy.

We hope to reopen as soon as it is safe for us to do so but as you know things are changing rapidly and this situation is fluid. We will continue to monitor things and be in touch as things change.

If you have an emergency and you are a patient of record please call our office and leave a message or call Dr. Strutz’s cell. We are trying to get in touch with everyone, cancel appointments,  and create a plan with patients who are in the middle of treatment. Please be patient. If we do not respond right away, know that we will get back to you as soon as possible. We are here to support you and your dental health. Your well-being is our top priority.

Nothing changes when we live in comfort. This is an extraordinary time where we are watching things shift and change not only our planet but as humans. We are finding ways to come together and spread kindness when times are difficult. However, I believe at this time that it is an opportunity to look at the amazing things around us that are allowing us to accept these massive disruptions and build new, build better. We each have an energy that we are putting out in the world and to the people around us. We can make the conscious choice to change the habits that do not serve us, others and our planet. We have the opportunity to switch up our habits and become the best version of humans that we can be.

Our energy and what we put out around us matters. People are choosing to help each other out, go the extra mile. They are finding ways to come together as a community at the cellular level. This will be the blocks we need to rebuild in a healthier, better and more positive way. For right now we have to accept the disruption, we have to accept the major shift that is happening around us because when we lean into the shift great things will happen.

Thank You,

Stay Healthy!

At Dr. Strutz’s cosmetic dental office, your health and the health of our staff are of the utmost importance.  To ensure this, we follow universally accepted precautions in our operatories and office. Additionally, we consistently wipe down the waiting room and common spaces with disinfectant.
In efforts to help our patients with dental emergencies, we have taken careful considerations to limit our schedule during this time. We are taking precautions to make sure that we do our best to take care of all of our patients and the team during these times. In doing so, we have asked our patients for some additional information and understanding.
·      We are asking that patients please come to their scheduled appointments alone unless they are in need of a caregiver or if they are a minor. Minors should be accompanied by only a parent/guardian.
·      We are asking if you are not feeling well, have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please contact your physician and call our office to reschedule your appointment.
·      We are asking if you have traveled internationally, been on a cruise, have flu-like symptoms, or work in a place with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past two weeks. We ask that they reschedule or make the appointment for a later date.

·      We are asking if anyone in your household is sick or gets sick prior to or on the day of the patient’s appointment, that you please reschedule altogether.
·      We are asking that you please wash your hands after you have checked in and fill out any necessary forms.
·      We ask that you avoid coming earlier than their check-in time to avoid multiple patients in the waiting room.
·      We are asking all currently scheduled patients the same questions and giving them the option to either keep their scheduled appointment or reschedule to a later date with no penalty for our 48hr notice policy.
·      We are asking that our referring offices please call us ahead if the patient does not have a scheduled appointment so that we can triage the patients appropriately.
We want you to be reassured that we are being more vigilant in all areas of our office when it comes to infection control. Surfaces in the waiting room, front desk areas, and restroom(s), which are normally cleaned and disinfected daily, are now being disinfected throughout the day on an hourly basis. Our team is being very precautious to ensure that our Patients, Doctors and themselves, stay healthy during the current COVID-19 crisis. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Protect Your Health

No more than ever you must take care of your dental health. While we do not think of health being impacted by our smile or what is going on with our mouth, having a compromised immune system due to periodontal disease or other dental problems can make you vulnerable to other problems.

While washing your hands, brushing, flossing, drinking water and rinsing your teeth after consuming certain foods was always important. Did you know these things can help you fight against certain components of illnesses that are currently impacting people?

Rinsing your mouth with water after consuming food can ensure that bacteria does not build up on your teeth. If you have a cavity or a more serious dental problem, this can cause your body to go into fight mode, causing your immune system to have to move into overdrive. This can then cause long-term problems as well as creating a problem for your body if it needs to fight off other infections. If you think that you have an illness, please stay home, however, if you have a problem with your dental health taking care of the problem as soon as possible can ensure that you stay healthy through these difficult times.

For more information on protecting yourself, contact Dr.Judy Strutz and her team.

Treat Your Smile With Love

We often don’t think about our smile needing love, however, it is critically important we take care of our smiles as well as our bodies. Your smile is the keys to the kingdom of health for your body and if you are not brushing, flossing or visiting the dentist regularly it can create a the problem for your overall health not just your smile.

You might not even realize how big of a problem you have with your teeth until it is too late. If you are experiencing pain, bleeding when you brush or floss or bumps or rashes, there may be something more going on. You might also develop
sensitivity when consuming hot or cold items making it difficult to consume certain foods and drinks.

It can be easy to forget that taking care of your smile is so important because of how busy our lives are. However, if you take care of your smile now, it can last a lifetime.

If you have a problem with your teeth, pain or something unusual is going on, schedule your dental consultation and get your smile back on track. For more information on the consultation, contact Dr. Judy Strutz and her team today.
