Get The Facts About All-On-4 Dental Implants

You have probably heard people talking about implants and dentures ‘in a day’ and thought, no way that must be a scam. Or maybe your restorative dentist has recommended replacing your dentures and using the support of dental implants and you have thought, you are just not a candidate. Now you can get the facts about this dental procedure and find out why patients are deciding this is the way to go.

An ‘All on 4’ Denture Prosthesis placed on dental implants can replace your traditional denture. The implants are secured into the bone and allow you to  attach a denture securely, so they do not move around like traditional dentures, this way they are more stable. Also when you have a denture supported by implants on your upper arch, you can have the palate open. There are a number of taste buds on the roof of your mouth and having this area uncovered allows you to enjoy your food much more. With an implant supported denture you will brush and floss them just like your natural teeth.

These dental implants have a high success rate and the dentures look and feel natural. They help you to enjoy your smile again, but they also help you to enjoy foods you may not have been eating due to a denture that did not fit quite right or because of missing teeth.

My Dentures Are Fine.

Why Do I Need an All-On-4 Type of Denture?

You may have heard conversations or seen information on All-on-4 dentures. You may have even thought, dentures in a day that is not possible. But it is possible to have a permanent denture that is placed which helps you get your smile back on track. All-on-4 types of dentures can replace a denture that is removable and help you achieve the smile you have always wanted.

Traditional dentures are removable, and that means they can move around in your mouth, cause problems with eating, and sometimes fall out. All of these problems are eliminated when you chose to have an All-on-4 denture. An All-on-4 type of denture allows you to eat the foods you love, brush like you did with your natural teeth, and smile with confidence.

Patients also tell Dr. Judy Strutz and her team that they are more comfortable than traditional dentures. Denture wearers sometimes must use a sticky glue to bond their prosthesis to the gums. Often too, traditional dentures may push down on the sensitive tissue and cause pain. Pain can create a situation where you feel less like being around other people, uncomfortable, or leave you without teeth altogether because you do not want to wear the denture. All-on-4 types of prosthesis do not have this problem because they are placed on implants.
