No more than ever you must take care of your dental health.
While we do not think of health being impacted by our smile or what is going on
with our mouth, having a compromised immune system due to periodontal disease
or other dental problems can make you vulnerable to other problems.
While washing your hands, brushing, flossing, drinking water
and rinsing your teeth after consuming certain foods was always important. Did
you know these things can help you fight against certain components of
illnesses that are currently impacting people?
Rinsing your mouth with water after consuming food can
ensure that bacteria does not build up on your teeth. If you have a cavity or a
more serious dental problem, this can cause your body to go into fight mode,
causing your immune system to have to move into overdrive. This can then cause
long-term problems as well as creating a problem for your body if it needs to
fight off other infections. If you think that you have an illness, please stay
home, however, if you have a problem with your dental health taking care of the
problem as soon as possible can ensure that you stay healthy through these
difficult times.
