Are You A Candidate For Implant Dentures?

Individuals may believe they do not need any cosmetic dental procedures because their smile is okay or because their dentures are working out just fine for them. Now though, there are procedures which can improve not only the look but the health of your smile. That’s right, dentures in a day that stay put.

Traditional Dentures are not always secure. When you attempt to consume certain foods, you may even feel them move in your mouth or you may have resigned yourself to just taking them out. There is another option, All-on-4 types of dentures are implant supported dentures that stay in place. They look and feel similar to your real teeth. More than that, they provide the structure to your face and jaw that can help you look and feel younger than you have in years.

While you may believe you are not a candidate for this procedure, or may think it is cosmetic in nature, Dr. Judy Strutz and her team have found that patients who take the chance and contact her office, love their new smile when they leave and are pleased to be able to go back and eat whatever they choose.

Take Care Of Your Dental Implants!

Your dental implants are very important. You spent time on improving your smile and the last thing you want is to mess them up. Take time to read these 5 tips to keep your implants looking as good as the first day you received them.

1.     Brush and floss regularly. Implants are similar to your real teeth. They require you to take care of them as if you would your regular teeth. Brushing and flossing regularly is key.
2.     Use a soft bristle toothbrush when you first get them done. This can ensure you are removing food from the surface of the teeth.
3.     Schedule and keep your regular visits with Dr. Judy Strutz. In order to make sure your implants and remaining teeth healthy, keep your scheduled visits. This will allow Dr. Strutz to quickly identify and potential problems
4.     You will not get cavities with implants, but they can develop the same wear and tear as your natural teeth, so do not use them as ‘tools’ to cut through thread, or to open containers.
5.     Get problems fixed as soon as they arise. Don’t wait to schedule an appointment if you have a problem with your implant. The longer you wait the more problems you may begin to develop.

Enhance, Restore, Smile!

It can seem a great smile is out of your reach, but it is not. You can have an amazing, beautiful smile in just one day. All-on-4 is a new technology that helps you walk out of the office with a smile that meets your expectations. This technology works on enhancing your smile with implants. Missing, broken and cracked teeth are very common in the United States, but you do not need to spend one more day being embarrassed by your smile.

So, how does this technology work? An implant is a small titanium screw that is placed in your jaw bone in order to attach the dental implant. But don’t panic, you are not going to have titanium screws all over your mouth. Generally 4 implant screws are placed in the upper or lower jaw, or both if you need. These implants help your denture fit into place. The titanium fuses to bone and the end result is a beautiful smile that replaces existing teeth, or an existing removable denture or partial denture.

Once your denture is placed, not only does it allow you to have a beautiful smile, but you can now really enjoy the foods you love. Your denture is securely in place and will not  move around in your mouth.

A New Smile In a Day

Are you gearing up for a special event? Or looking for a new job? If you are looking for a smile that will wow those around you, Dr. Judy Strutz and her team can talk to you about the possibility of a ‘smile in a day.’ While the treatment and techniques have been around for years, innovation in dental technology, many times, allows a patient to have broken, missing and cracked teeth fixed faster than in years past. An example would be the All on-4 technique.

After Dr. Strutz and her team have evaluated the needs of your smile, they can begin to plan and map out what can to be done in order to provide you with a restored and beautiful smile you want. Once the dental implants are placed and your arch is restored,  you will have a fully functional smile so you can get back to enjoying your next event. Implants can transform your smile, your health and your look.

Remember though, implants and remaining teeth will still need to be brushed, flossed and seen by your dentist regularly in order to ensure your new smile stays healthy.  All on 4 dental procedures provide you with a long lasting smile in a day that you can be proud of.
