While people may think their bodies' health is more important than their dental health, however, your dental health is a direct reflection of your overall health. While the food you eat can negatively impact your health it can impact your dental health as well. Here are 4 rules to keep your smile healthy.
- Drink water. I'm sure you hear this all the time. Every time you turn around there is a magazine, blog, or other written form that talks about how your consumption of water is the key to your health. Water is fantastic for your smile too. It rinses food from sticking to the enamel on your teeth to decrease the risk of decay.
- Eat vegetables. Vegetables contain a high concentration of water, and because they are low in carbohydrates they do not stick to your teeth.
- Brush, floss, and rinse with at least water. You want to brush and floss your teeth every day. You have to be able to take care of your smile. This is the best way to do it.
