Are You Taking Care of Yourself?





With so much going on around you it can be easy to forget your needs. While you may be helping your children get to school work is done, ensuring that the house is clean and sterile and still doing your own job that pays the bills it can be easy to forget that you too need to be taken care of. 
Here are 5 Tips for ensuring that you are staying healthy during this difficult time. 
  1. Take time to breathe. Breathing is one of the most important things we can do to stop negative thoughts in their tracks. While most people think breathing is something we do naturally, most people breathe shallowly throughout their day. Taking nice deep breaths in and out can release tension, decrease your stress level, and help you get back to a place of calm. 
  2. Brush and floss your teeth. Brush for 2 minutes. While you are ensuring that your smile is taken care of in these two minutes; this also gives you time to take a step back and get your mind back on track. 
  3. Start your morning off right. Either by grabbing a piece of fruit, going for a quick walk, or taking in the quiet sounds around you. A few minutes in the morning can change your entire day.
