Don’t Leave Your Smile Vulnerable

You deserve to have a beautiful and healthy smile. Do not leave your smile vulnerable to cavities, periodontal disease or missing, cracked or broken teeth. Taking time to visit your cosmetic dentist and receive a consultation on your smile, can ensure you are on the right track. Nowadays, grabbing a soda and candy bar for lunch may be the norm for you. However, that amount of sugar can impact your smile.

There are so many choices you can make during the day. If you are going to consume sugar or a high carbohydrate meal, instead of waiting until bedtime to brush, you might want to consider brushing your teeth or rinsing with water to remove some of the food particles from the surface of your teeth. The longer these items are glued to the enamel on your teeth the more damage that is done.

If you find you are struggling to have a healthy smile you love, contact Dr. Judy Strutz and her team. They can help evaluate and work with you on a plan to get your smile back in order. It is critically important you have a healthy smile because if not it can lead to other more detrimental problems later on.

A Little Discipline Can Help You Have A Smile You Love!

Having a beautiful and healthy smile can seem out of reach, but with just a few healthy habits done on a regular basis you can ensure that you will have an amazing smile that lasts a lifetime. You are worth it, so take on the challenge and get a smile you love.

Start by vising Dr. Judy Strutz and her team. They can do an evaluation on your smile in order to determine what procedures you may want in order to get your smile back in order. Once this consultation has occurred, then you need to implement these 3 healthy habits every day.

1.     Brush 2x a day especially after consuming a meal that is high in carbohydrates. The sugar in high carbohydrate food sticks to your teeth and then creates decay and other dental problems.
2.     Drink water with your meals or after your meal. Water can rinse any extra food from your smile.
3.     Don’t forget to floss. There is no other single activity that will keep your gums in great shape then flossing regularly. If you struggle to floss regularly find a flosser or other type of aid or get a water pic that can remove food from between your teeth.

You are worth having a healthy smile that you love to show off, contact Dr. Judy Strutz and her team for more ideas on how to keep your smile healthy.

Restore Your Smile Today!

You deserve to have a beautiful smile that you love to show off. If you are self-conscious of your smile, now is the time to fix your smile and share it with the world. Some people may not want to fix broken, cracked or missing teeth because they feel they have no choice but to have dentures. If you are told the word dentures and it makes you cringe, cringe no more. All-on-4 dentures are the dentures of the future. They provide you with a stable, denture that does not cover the palate of your mouth.

Traditional dentures use suction in order to stay in place, therefore they must cover the palate of the mouth, but All-on-4 dentures are fixed in place using dental implants, so the palate can remain uncovered and stay in place even when consuming certain foods. Traditional dentures also meant you were required you to take them out at night and clean them. Now you do not have to do that, All-on-4 dentures require you to brush as if they were your regular teeth.

Don’t run in the other direction when you hear denture, because All-on-4 dentures can be completed in a short amount of time, most of it being completed in one day. This allows you to have a durable smile and begin showing it to the world quickly.

Are You In The Market For A New Job?

Have you been out looking for a new opportunity? Have you purchased new clothes or updated your wardrobe? One area you do not want to neglect, according to Dr. Judy Strutz, is your smile. According to research, employers evaluate a person’s smile prior to anything else when you are applying for a job. The health of your smile can persuade a new employer that you are someone they want to take a chance on because you take care of yourself and will take care of their business.

While enhancing your smile can seem like a timely and expensive new upgrade, small procedures can be done to improve the health of your smile. Depending on what is impacting your smile will determine how much time and money it will cost to restore your smile. But it is worth every penny when you are able to wow your new employer with your smile and your skills.

If your teeth are stained or colored, some whitening procedures can help to bring your smile back to the sparkling white it deserves. For broken or cracked teeth, veneers or porcelain crowns can help to cover up your existing teeth and restore your smile to its natural state.

Do You Have The Smile Of Your Dreams

Your smile impacts your self-confidence, opportunities and could improve your view of the world around you. Imagine what your dream smile looks like. Are your teeth whiter or straighter? Remember, one smile, shared with a person who is having a bad day, can instantly change their day. But do you have the smile of your dreams? If not, now is the time to get what your truly want! Dr. Judy Strutz and her team can help restore your smile to the beautiful, healthy one you had years ago or can improve on the one that nature gave you.

When you smile, if your teeth are broken from decay, or if you have cracking teeth, veneers may be the best option for you. Veneers are easy to place and restore your smile to a more natural look when done correctly. The best part is the upkeep, with veneers you will only need to brush and floss as you normally would.

If you have a special event coming up and have a few short weeks or months prior to your event, there is time or you may want to choose from some additional options to help you change your smile. Teeth whitening or dental bonding can hide the small flaws that may be impacting your day. Prior to purchasing a home whitening system, ask your cosmetic dentist for information. There are a variety of systems and depending upon the reason your teeth are grey or brown, the over-the-counter variety may not do the trick.

4 Problems That May Be Impacting Your Smile

Your smile is the connection between you and the world around you. Individuals who have a beautiful and healthy smile are more likely to land that job they have been wanting, meet that special someone, and connect with new and exciting friends. Here are 4 characteristics of a beautiful smile.

1.     Are you teeth white and free of stains? Discoloration of the teeth can cause you to appear older than you are or that you have not kept up on healthy dental habits, while this in fact may not be the case. Consuming certain foods or consuming coffee can unfortunately lead to discoloration.
2.     Are your teeth straight? Crooked or over lapping teeth can not only make it difficult to floss but can also cause your lips to look pursed.
3.     Do you have any missing teeth? Once you have one missing tooth, it can create a flood of other problems which can cause you to lose other teeth. Eventually your smile may begin to collapse as well and cause you to get wrinkles around your mouth.
4.     Are your gums puffy and swollen? “Puffy and swollen gums can be a sign of periodontal disease, “says Dr. Judy Strutz.  Left untreated, it can cause major dental and health concerns.  Get help today.

Why Should I Get A Dental Cosmetic Procedure Completed?

There are lots of people who may tell you that a cosmetic dental procedure is just to make your smile pretty. But unfortunately, this is not the case. Cosmetic procedures are about more than a pretty smile. It is about building a healthy smile that can last a lifetime. Having a healthy smile that can last a life time will allow you to smile for the family photo, laugh with friends when you are out to the movies, and share an ice cream with your grandson when he graduates. None of these are things that you should hide your smile from.

But research shows individuals who do not take care of their smile, or do not have cosmetic procedures, can begin to feel less self-confident. While there are cosmetic procedures that are simple procedures, dental veneers, crowns and implants may take longer, but can restore your smile so it is beautiful again. Dr. Judy Strutz and her team recommend a consultation if you are struggling to enjoy your smile.

Dr. Strutz and her team are happy to answer any questions that you have about procedures. Once you schedule your consultation she’ll want to spend time analyzing your smile in order to determine what the best course of action is.

For more information on what restorative cosmetic procedure may be the right one for you contact Dr. Strutz and her team today.

Are You Itching For A Beautiful Smile

Do you want a healthy and beautiful smile but don't how to get it. Today is your lucky day because veneers may be a great option to restore your smile to a natural, healthy state. Here are four reasons why veneers may be a great choice for you.

1. Veneers can be matched to the color of your other teeth. When done correctly veneers provide you with a healthy and natural looking smile. The color does not have to be that bleached white that stands out, or a discolored yellow tone.
2. “Veneers can fix the alignment of your smile and reshape the teeth to a more pleasing contour,” says Dr. Judy Strutz. These thin wafer pieces of porcelain can enhance an already beautiful smile or even create one.
3. Veneers can give you back your life. If you are self-conscious because of your smile veneers are a great option to give you something to smile about.

While veneers are only one option available to you, a comprehensive examination can get you started on achieving the smile you want today.

Don't wait!
Now is the time to have a smile that will launch your 2016! For more information contact Dr. Strutz & her team today.

Dangerous Holiday Food For Your Crowns

The food you consume can cause havoc not only to your permanent teeth, but also to your newly placed dental crowns. Brushing, flossing and visiting your San Bernardinocosmetic dentist regularly are critical to having your smile stay in great condition. During the holidays, don’t let food choices, impact your dental crowns or your natural teeth by following these simple food rules.

Avoid extra sugar and treats. Sugar can cause your tooth underneath the crown to decay. While you are consuming pie or more sugary drinks, the bacterium in your mouth is feeding off of the sugar, this combination can cause major problems. If you are going to consume treats or candy, it is recommended you either brush your teeth right away if you can, or chew a piece of sugar-free gum.

The extra saliva can help to remove sugar and other food debris from your teeth.
Avoid consuming lots of breads and high carb foods. While these traditional Thanksgiving foods are available, you may want to avoid them in large quantitties to protect your smile,” says Dr. Judith Strutz. Small portions, brushing immediately and consuming fruits or vegetables can help protect your crowns. And any food that has a larger water content can remove food from between the teeth.

For more information on healthy food to consume contact Dr. Strutz & her team today.
